St. George Island Lighthouse:
The original Cape St. George Lighthouse collapsed on Oct. 25, 2005. The old lighthouse was built in 1852 and withstood over a hundred and fifty years of surf. Re-construction of the lighthouse is underway in the center of St. George Island.
Great Fishing:
St. George Island boasts some of the best fishing in the country. Charter a boat or surf fish from the shore.
Dolphins:
Dolphins can regularly be seen swimming and playing around the island. Kick back and watch the fins go up and down, or try to get out there with them!
St. George Island State Park:
An unbelievably pristine park with vast dunes and wildlife. You’ll love hiking, fishing, wildlife watching or enjoying what the beaches were like before any development.

St. George Island is largely pet friendly, so bring your pet down and have a great time. Be sure to check to see if your vacation home is pet friendly before you arrive.

When you’re ready for a diversion from the Island, Apalachicola, a historic port town is just over the bridge and boasts a number of antique and craft shops, along with excellent restaurants.
